For the last couple of weeks I have been constantly talking about wet-into-wet and soft edges, so this week I want to show you why I wanted you to learn how to make those soft edges. I need you to be able to control those soft edges so you can start putting blurred lost edges into your work.
Why do you need to have lost edges in your work? Because it's great for creating dimension and for making a better composition. It's also good for learning to leave things out of your painting that really doesn't need to be in the painting or you aren't quite sure what something is in a painting so you can just blur it out.
See the video below for my talk on Blurring and making lost edges.
