BeckerArt FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter June 21st Negative Painting
Published: Tue, 06/21/22
Hello
Welcome to the FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter #370
I'm Back...The 2 workshops I conducted last week up north were simply amazing! This summer I have no workshops planned until the next workshop At Dillman's in the fall. This summer I will be focusing a ton on some of my unfinished business like my Mindseye Sketchbook and the BeckerArt Palette. I am also trying to learn how to teach you abstract painting.
Last week's newsletter on the Website Photopea I thought was one of my best finds ever, but I didn't seem to get much reaction about this photo editing website. I think I might have to do a video on how to use that photo editing site. It is an amazing find, trust me! www.photopea.com

Negative Painting Explained
With the spring/summer in full bloom I see a lot of flowers being painted and that usually means you need to use negative painting in your work. Below you will find a short video with a short explanation on how negative painting works.
Paint-a-long Details: This week's painting was chosen because we need to learn about negative painting. I will be using 300lb Stonehenge Aqua Cold Press with my Holbein paints as always.
