Hello
Welcome to the FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter #364
I would like to thank all of you that have contacted me about how much you love that I am doing the weekly paint-a-longs. Your letters make it all worth it. I am so happy that you are all learning and enjoying it so much. You Learning and enjoying is the reason that I love doing the paint-a-longs so much... seeing artists getting better at painting is just the greatest reward for a teacher like myself. Thank you for watching! Please tell
your friends and art groups, the more the merrier.
This week we are painting an underwater scene at the request of one of the artists that watches my paint-a-longs. Thanks for the suggestion!
Coming up this Sunday the 15th of May I will be demonstrating for the Colored Pencil Society of America at the Palatine Public Library 700 N Court Palatine IL. at 1:30 PM See info HERE. I will be working in Holbein Colored Pencil on Stonehenge papers.
YES TO Class at the Civic Center in Libertyville May 12th 1PM TO 3:30PM
YES TO Class at The Studio in McHenry, May 14th 9AM TO 11:30AM
Email me at Beckerart@gmail.com for any info you may need about my classes or workshops.
I finally have found a free website for all the artists that have asked me "David, how can I change my digital photo to the size that I want it for the show I am entering... or how do I take away the background... or how do I turn my PDF file into a JPG File". Well, low and behold, I found the most amazing site on the internet that will do all
that and so much more. Check out this site called WWW.TINYWOW.COM... you can thank me later! See Video Below
Melinda Schnellis the most amazing artist that I know who paints the most incredible underwater scenes I have ever seen. She doesn't have a lot of her paintings on her website but if you ever visit northern Wisconsin you will find her paintings everywhere you go.
Paint-a-long Details: This week we are going underwater and I will be painting this scene on Stonehenge Aqua White Coldpress paper with Holbein Watercolors.
