With summer in full swing, I've noticed many of you are taking trips all over the place and I hope you are taking loads of photos and hopefully taking a little time to do some sketching and painting while on those trips!

Using an Ink Nib to Apply Masking Fluid

I finally have found the best way to apply masking fluid and I learned it from one of my students that used this technique to apply her masking fluid to paper.

Ian Fennelly Speaking of ink pens... Here is an artist that a friend told me about and I like that his sketches have so much line work in it. You could use you ink pen not only for the masking fluid but you could also use it with ink on your watercolor sketches.

Paint-a-long Details: In this week's painting I would like to work with a more limited palette of color, using a lot of colors on one side of the color wheel. I will be using a bunch of warm colors. I will also make the square hole in the wall more of a window and make it look more like an adobe building.
