Today I am heading up north to get ready for the Plein-air Grand Marais competition. This year I am also teaching a mini-workshop done plein-air with both watercolor and gouache. This event is always a super fun time where you get to see so many wonderful artists creating such wonderful works. I will try to post photos on my Instagram and Facebook pages as I take them of the event.

Blurring for Better Depth and
Composition
This week's video lesson talks about blurring parts of your image to better improve your depth and composition of your
painting.
Here is a great product for weighing down your tripod easel. You attach it to the legs of the easel and then put heavy things like rocks into the sling.
