I've noticed that I really don't like painting plein-air if the weather isn't good, meaning too cold. On Saturday I went out scouting for places to paint for the LIVE Sunday Demo with David but even though there is no snow, it's still was windy and super cold. It does look like the days are getting warmer so I can't wait to get out there to enjoy some good old fashion plein-air painting. I'm hoping to get you out there this summer for some plein-air painting.

In a couple of week's I head to the Kanuga Watermedia Workshops which is a amazing workshop event. I love this workshop venue because I always meet loads of wonderful artists. There will be over 200 artists, 10 teachers and a whole lotta learning and fun going on. There are still a few spaces left in my workshop... sign-up asap HERE

Thomas Schaller
A great artist that has a style all his own where the foreground is usually set as a dark contrast wash. Then his middle tone and background are his colorful and light areas.

He does his people like many who do gesture carrot stick people.
