Welcome to the FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter #452

Hello from St Augustine/Vilano Beach.

We made it through one color to full color exercises and thumbnail sketches, now we will go into drawing again.
In the next couple of weeks I want you to start thinking about how your drawing is coming along. It is the #1 most important thing about your painting so I believe we have to make sure you are starting your painting with a good sound drawing. I will be discussing drawing in this Thursday's YouTube paint-a-long.

I just heard last Saturday that my watercolor "Backstage" will be in the Splash 25 Best of watercolor publication. Thank You Thomas W Schaller for jurying in my work!

When I get back home in 2 weeks I will start a new weekly Wednesday morning watercolor class at Mainstreet Art Center in Lake Zurich on Feb, 7th to take over for the great instructor Cheryl Cook (Cookie). More info at Mainstreet Art Center
