Last week I conducted my first ever Fluid Acrylics Class and it turned out better then ever!
the 2 paintings are the 2 in this newsletter. The top one is an image of Lake Champlain, Vermont and the other is a scene from the ocean somewhere.
When painting with Fluid Acrylics I use them exactly the same way I use watercolors, floating the pigment just like I
would with my watercolors.
The advantage is that the paint will never come off your paper once it is dry and you can use more opaque applications to you watercolor work and won't turn mat like watercolors do when used thick or opaque.
The disadvantage is you can't scrub anything out once it is painted.
All in all I loved the paint and plan on using them once in a while, combining them with watercolor. Will need to practice a new
technique!
