If you are ever looking for a place to take a painting workshop, I highly recommend one of my favorite places to teach, Dillman's Art Retreat Workshops.
Here is what 5 days at Dillman's is like:
You arrive on a Sunday afternoon, get settled into your cabin/room then head to the main lodge for a meet
and greet/amazing dinner.
Next morning classes start and most are raring to get started and had already chosen their place/table the night before, some had even used the classroom the night before to paint in. The classroom is always open for the students to use. You can find many students late, after dinner in the classrooms getting some work done. Monday evening you can also find a campfire to sit around and everyone making smores and telling wonderful
art stories.
Tuesday mornings you can start your day with a
yoga http://www.internationalartworkshops.com/greece-2016/index.htmlsession.
You then head to class where there is always fresh coffee waiting and treats for the class in the afternoon. Tuesday for dinner (also Monday evening) you can opt for a Dine-Around Dinner, where Dillman's phones ahead to make reservations for anyone that signed up at a wonderful restaurant in the area, don't worry if you don't have a car to get there, you can always find someone to share a ride with.
Thursday is the last day of class and there is always a Farewell Champagne Toast in the main lodge where all the students can show off a piece of artwork that they had created that week.
There is also the resort of Dillman's where you can do things like bike around with the free bicycles that are available, or canoe or kayak around the lake, fish,
swim, shuffleboard, tennis, basketball, hike and so much more..check out the
