Welcome to the FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter #143, Marco Island Demo

I'm back home to the cold north midwest weather but it will be good to be back with my weekly classes as I have missed quite a few of them this year. I will also start again to get my gallery/studio/classroom finished asap.

I would like to thank all of you that had attended my demonstrations, workshop, paint party and all the people I met in Florida, it was great to teach and have so much fun with all of you. can't wait to go back again next year.

This week I have no time to rest and relax as I will be busy again with classes, parties and this week I have the Lake Region Watercolor meeting to run. If you are interested in attending the meeting and demonstration by Tony Armendariz who is subbing in for Steve Puttrich, Steve seems to be under the weather so we wish him well... get well soon Steve! see info HERE

Marco Island Demonstration 2018

It was a great time demonstrating at 2 Dillman Festival of Artists last week. This video is of the painting I demonstrated at Marco Island.

No audio in this video as I just want you to see how I simplified the large light and dark value pattern and not care about small fine details when starting the first wash. The details come after the first large wash of color, then the dark details follow to form the shapes of the objects inside the large values.
