Happy Halloween!

Wow! Thank you to all that contacted me and helped me find a specific watercolor pan I needed for my new palette. I received around 30 messages with all kinds of great information and also the exact pan I had envisioned. See video below for the info on what I have planned for this custom palette.

This week's paint-a-long is of a bunch of pumpkins, but I will not be painting them all orange. I want to teach you how to use a reference photo for the values of a scene and teaching you how to come up with your own colors and color scheme.

This month again I was chosen as a finalist for the PleinAir Magazines Salon Art Competition. Last month I won Best Gouache. Crossing my fingers for Best Watercolor this month, but you never know what a judge will pick because all the finalist have some great paintings.

My Dream Palette

I have been working on trying to get a palette built for myself and for my students for at least the last 8 years if not longer. I have wanted a customized palette that has everything I want in a watercolor palette. I think I am almost there and it looks like I will be able to build it myself.
