BeckerArt FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter Dec 16th Fixing Watercolor
Published: Tue, 12/16/25
Hello
Welcome to the FLOAT-YOUR-PIGMENT Newsletter #544
Time flies when you are painting and organizing a hundred things, getting ready for the new year. I am so excited to start my painting quest of painting 3 studio works a week... yes
I brought it down from 4 paintings a week because I started a practice run and realized 3 paintings a week is more doable and still is a good number of paintings to do each week. My lesson paintings, paint-a-longs, and demos don't count for the 3 a week studio work. If you want to join me you can pick any number that you feel you can do a week and you can include the paint-a-longs and demos if you like. I really would like to get all my students excited about creating a lot of work next year and
having a fun time doing it! The most important way to get better is simply painting more.
In the new year I will be starting the Paint-a-longs from the beginning, as if we were all new to watercolor. We will start with one color for the 1st Thursday and work our way from there. The 1st video in the 1st newsletter will be of the materials I use and how I use them. If
you know of someone that wants free lessons from the beginning, have them subscribe to my YouTube Channel. These videos will be in a playlist that will be organized from video 1 to as many I make in the new year and they will all be in order from video #1 to the last video
lesson.

I hear so many people talk about watercolor and say they don't want to try watercolor because they heard it was so hard and you can't fix a watercolor or you
can't go over and over a wash in watercolor. This is not true and I show you how in this week's newsletter video.
